Why go

Wando Marine Healing Center sits on the southern coast of South Korea's Wando Island, in South Jeolla Province, where the clean waters of the Korea Strait meet a coastline known for its kelp and seafood production. The center draws on the concept of thalassotherapy — sea-based wellness — using seawater, sea air, and marine-derived materials as the foundation of its programs. Visitors can access hydrotherapy facilities, outdoor healing trails along the shore, and educational content about the marine environment. The surrounding Wando Archipelago, a designated biosphere reserve, adds a strong nature-immersion dimension to any stay.
