Wolmyeong Park (월명공원)
Wolmyeong Park is a curated attraction in Korea — full details, hours, and access info on the official Korea Tourism page.
Why go
Wolmyeong Park is the central public park of Gunsan, a port city in northern Jeollabuk-do, with broad lawns, a small zoo, traditional Korean gardens, and a Korean War memorial all wrapped around the hilly Wolmyeongsan ridge. The park's signature element is its 9.7-kilometer perimeter walking trail, which traces ridges with views down over Gunsan Port and the Saemangeum Seawall. Cherry blossoms in early April make the park an instant local festival ground. The Gunsan Modern History Museum and the colonial-era Japanese-style buildings of the lower town are within walking distance. Free entry. Best in spring or autumn. Pair with the Gunsan Modern History Walking Course.
