It’s a solid representation of the region’s tangible past. I aimed for variety beyond that, though, bringing in natural history and contemporary art.

My main criteria here were ensuring each spot offered a distinct look into a specific theme, whether it was the region's famed silk production, its prehistoric roots, or the work of prominent local artists like Moon Shin. I also looked for places that had strong visual appeal for photos. I left out a few larger provincial museums that felt too general.

Most of these museums are best visited between March and May, or September to November, to avoid the summer heat and humidity.
