Why go

Kim Koo Memorial Hall in Seoul honors Kim Koo (1876–1949) — the Korean independence movement leader and prime minister of the Korean Provisional Government in exile during the colonial period, considered by many Koreans the most important single figure in Korean independence movement history. Kim was assassinated in 1949, and the hall preserves his birthplace-related artifacts (copies and originals from his early years), the political documents and correspondence from his Provisional Government leadership, and bilingual interpretation that contextualizes him within the broader colonial-era resistance and post-liberation Korean political history. Free entry. About 90 minutes. Pair with Hyochang Park nearby (where Kim is buried).
