Manhyujeong Pavilion (만휴정)
Manhyujeong Pavilion is a curated attraction in Korea — full details, hours, and access info on the official Korea Tourism page.
Why go
Manhyujeong Pavilion is a traditional Korean wooden pavilion set in the forested hills of Gyeongsangbuk-do, perched dramatically above a rocky stream. Built during the Joseon period as a place of rest and scholarly retreat, the structure exemplifies classical Korean pavilion architecture with its open wooden frame and tiled roof. A narrow stone bridge leads visitors across the stream to the pavilion, offering one of the most photographed compositions in the region. Surrounding deciduous trees make it especially vivid in autumn, when the foliage frames the structure in reds and golds. The site remains quiet and relatively uncrowded compared to major heritage destinations.
