Oedo-Botania (외도 보타니아)
Oedo-Botania is a curated attraction in Korea — full details, hours, and access info on the official Korea Tourism page.
Why go
Oedo Botania is a private island botanical garden built on Oedo Island off the southern coast of Geoje, Gyeongsangnam-do, started in the 1970s as a private project by a Korean couple that has since grown into one of the most famous landscaped islands in Korea. The garden covers roughly 13 hectares of subtropical-influenced planting, with formal European-style sculpted gardens, Mediterranean conifer alleys, palm sections, succulent gardens, sea-cliff walking paths, and a long cascading staircase that descends toward the sea-view terrace. Reach is by tour boat from several ports on Geoje, with set ferry-and-garden time slots. The combination of a manicured landscape and the open South Sea horizon is the headline draw. Best on clear days; pairs naturally with Windy Hill, the POW Camp Memorial Park, and broader Geoje Island day-trip itineraries.
