Busan Beaches BEST 6

When I put together this list of Busan's beaches, I initially aimed for variety. I wanted to showcase the different types of coastal experiences the city offers, from the most popular spots to those with a more local feel. What surprised me was how many places cluster around the Gwangalli area, leading to a strong representation for that neighborhood. It's a testament to how much activity is concentrated there.

My selection process focused on distinct characteristics and visitor feedback. I prioritized places with clear appeal, using KTO data and image popularity as a guide. Haeundae and Gwangalli, predictably, scored high. I left out some smaller, less developed stretches because they didn't offer enough unique features to warrant inclusion in a list of just six. Minlak Seaside Park was a late addition for its unique park-on-water setup.

Most of these beaches are best enjoyed from June through September, when the weather is warmest. Weekdays tend to be less crowded, especially at Haeundae, if you prefer a quieter experience. Public transport, primarily buses and subway lines, connects most of these locations easily. Before you go, check local event listings, as many beaches host festivals or performances, particularly in July and August.
