Pureuncha Tea Culture Research Institute is a small private organization in Daegu dedicated to the study, preservation, and gentle promotion of Korean traditional tea culture — particularly the green-tea, yellow-tea, and floral-tea traditions of southern Korea (Hadong, Boseong, and Jiri Mountain foothills historically produce the country's most-cited teas). The center runs short tea ceremony classes (60-90 minutes with sample serving), weekend tasting flights of regional Korean teas (typically 4-6 teas per flight), and seasonal events organized around the harvest calendar (first-harvest in April, sencha-style summer teas in July, autumn ripened teas). The space is deliberately small and quiet, more like a study circle than a tourist attraction, with around 15 seats per class. Reservations essential. The deep-dive tea-ceremony workshop is the standout. Program fees typically KRW 20,000-40,000 depending on class type.
