Yeoninsan Provincial Park

Yeoninsan Provincial Park is a mountain provincial park in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-do, centered on Yeoninsan peak (963 m) — one of the more accessible mid-elevation mountain climbs within day-trip range of Seoul. The park features marked hiking trails ranging from a 90-minute foothill loop to a 5-hour summit ascent, with the summit itself offering broad panoramic views back across the Bukhangang River valley and the surrounding Gyeonggi mountain landscape. The mountain's name (literally "Lover Mountain") comes from a Joseon-era folk narrative of a couple who were separated on the mountain, and the summit's romantic-couple legend is part of local hiking-culture tradition — many couples make the summit hike as a symbolic gesture. A cable car (opened 2017) reaches the mid-mountain area, cutting the summit access by about 90 minutes for less-experienced hikers.
