Geumnam Butterfly Garden is a curated attraction in Korea — full details, hours, and access info on the official Korea Tourism page.
Geumnam Butterfly Garden is a small dedicated butterfly garden inside Geumnamno Park in central Gwangju, kept active most of the year by enclosed flight rooms and host-plant beds for native Korean species. The space is modest in scale but works particularly well as a free educational stop on a longer Gwangju downtown walk. Inside the netted enclosure visitors can see swallowtails and skippers up close, often resting on the open palm. The peak season is May through September when the outdoor beds are also active. Free entry; closed Mondays. Pair with the Asia Culture Center, Chungjang-no shopping street, and Yangnim-dong missionary heritage village for a full central Gwangju day.
