Gwangju
Gwangju Arboretum is a curated attraction in Korea — full details, hours, and access info on the official Korea Tourism page.
Gwangju Arboretum is the city of Gwangju's public botanical garden, in the western Gwangsan-gu area, with around 2,500 plant species across themed beds and dense forest sections. The arboretum is known for its rose and herb gardens, a wetland boardwalk, and a children's outdoor education area. Free entry and a strong commitment to native species make it a relaxed local favorite rather than a tourist draw. Allow about ninety minutes for a full circuit. Best in spring and autumn. Reachable from central Gwangju by city bus. Pair with the May 18 Memorial Park and the Asia Culture Center for a full Gwangju day combining nature and modern history.
