Sajik Forest of Light is a forested hillside park overlooking downtown Gwangju, transformed in recent years into a year-round media-art installation. After dark, the trees and walking paths fill with programmable lighting that changes by season — cool blues in summer, deep ambers in autumn, full color displays during the year-end holidays. By day it's a normal urban forest with views over Gwangju city center. Most visitors come at night with families or for date walks; the loop takes about thirty minutes. Free to enter. Combine with the nearby Yangnim Historic Cultural Village, Gwangju's quiet missionary-era heritage neighborhood, for a full evening in central Gwangju.
