Why go

Majang Lake is a long emerald reservoir in Paju, Gyeonggi-do, just over an hour from Seoul, anchored by Gyeonggi's longest pedestrian suspension bridge — a 220-meter span that crosses the lake at one of its narrower waists. Walking the bridge offers a striking view down to the green water and out across the surrounding low hills. Beyond the bridge, a 5.5-kilometer perimeter trail loops around the lake at an easy pace. Cafes, a small zip-line, and several restaurants are clustered at the bridge entrance, which makes the destination feel like a half-day stop rather than a quick photo. Best in autumn for foliage. Pair with Heyri Art Village or the Imjingak DMZ park.
