Yangju Olleung Royal Tomb [UNESCO World Heritage] (양주 온릉(단경왕후) [유네스코 세계문화유산])

Yangju Olleung is a Joseon-era royal tomb in Yangju, Gyeonggi-do, dedicated to Queen Dangyeong (1487-1557) — the first queen of King Jungjong of Joseon, deposed seven days after her husband's accession to the throne due to her father's involvement in the king's predecessor faction. Olleung is part of the broader UNESCO World Heritage Site of "Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty" — the 40 royal tombs of Joseon kings and queens scattered across Gyeonggi-do and surrounding regions, jointly inscribed in 2009 as a representative example of Joseon-era royal-burial architecture.
