POW Camp Memorial Park (Geoje POW Camp Memorial) is a public memorial-and-history museum on Geoje Island, set on the actual site of the major United Nations POW camp that operated during the Korean War (1951-1953), holding tens of thousands of Chinese and North Korean prisoners of war. The site preserves portions of the original camp infrastructure (preserved buildings, watchtowers, fences, barracks reconstructions), with extensive interpretive displays on the camp's history, the daily life of POWs and UN guards, the major prisoner uprisings (most notably the Dodd Incident of May 1952), and the broader Korean War context. The site is one of the most significant Korean War memorial sites in Korea and a major destination for travelers interested in Korean War history.
