Jinju Namgang Yudeung Exhibition Hall is the dedicated lantern-art exhibition space in Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do, built around the city's annual Namgang Yudeung (River Lantern) Festival held each October on the Nam River. During the festival, hundreds of large-scale paper-and-frame lanterns float on the river along the walls of Jinju Castle, and the exhibition hall preserves the festival's lantern-making craft year-round through curated displays, scale models, lighting demonstrations, and historical documentation of the festival's roots in the 1592 Jinju Castle siege when soldiers reportedly used floating lanterns to communicate during the battle.
