Mukgyeseowon Confucian Academy & Mukgye Head House of Andong Kim Clan

Mukgyeseowon Confucian Academy and Mukgye Head House of Andong Kim Clan is a preserved Joseon-era seowon (Confucian academy) and head-family residence complex in Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, dedicated to the Andong Kim clan — one of the most prominent yangban families of late-Joseon Korea. The complex includes the seowon (Confucian academy) where local scholars trained and where the Andong Kim clan honored their ancestral Confucian sages, alongside the Mukgye head-family residence that served as the clan's ancestral seat. Some Korean seowon were jointly inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage in 2019.
