Seongnyu Cave is one of Korea's largest and most spectacular limestone caves, located in Uljin, Gyeongsangbuk-do. The cave's main passage extends about 870 meters and is open to the public on a guided walking route that passes through dramatic stalactite halls, underground streams, and large open chambers — including spaces named after their imagined resemblances (Pavilion Hall, Underwater Palace). The cave maintains a steady cool temperature year-round, which makes it a strong summer escape. As a designated Natural Monument, it is a serious geological destination, not just a tourist gimmick. Pair it with the Uljin coastline drive for a varied East Sea day.
